Skateistan Builds a Skate School in Cambodia

It's been awhile since I've talked about this awesome non-profit organization. If you're not familiar with them, Skateistan exists to empower children and youth through skateboarding and education in Afghanistan, Cambodia, and South Africa. They've done a lot of good around the world using skateboarding as a catalyst for change since they began in 2007.

I've tried my best to keep up with them and what they've been up to over the past couple years. It seems that every time I check up on them, their up to something new. So it didn't come as a surprise when I received an update earlier about the nonprofit building a new skate school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The school is planning on opening in early 2018!

In partnership with The Skateroom, designed with Building Trust International and located at Factory Phnom Penh, it will be a new welcoming space in the city which will better serve the needs of local children and youth.
